Job Description

The Lead is responsible for all aspects of the department involving the supervision of staff an processes required to service business accounts. This includes assisting with quotes for sales staff and brokers, as well as coordinating quotes that advance between the underwriting process and sales process. Involved in the set-up processing of sales on corporate systems to ensure accuracy of rates and benefits. Takes the lead on misc. projects which includes developing rate tables for internal staff and external vendors. Revises and completes Kronos timekeeping records for Underwriting staff. Trains and coaches staff in new and ongoing processes, in new technology and systems, and provides ongoing feedback to the Manager regarding training and development needs.

Bachelors Related Field

Three (3) years Related Field

Must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, including brokers and broker support staff. Must be able to project a professional image and pleasant attitude at all times and be adept at persuasion and direct confrontation. Must be able to work independently and have strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail. Must be well disciplined in managing time, staff and projects. Ability to weigh conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment. May be asked to attend occasional early morning, evening and weekend meetings and events.

Essential Functions:

Supervision of staff, training and coaching.
Audits staff quotes, ad hoc reports and high priority data assimilation.
Assistis with preparing rate and benefit proposals for prospective groups, distributes to appropriate customers within required time lines. Directs feedback from these customers requesting rate/benefit negotiation to the appriopriate Underwriting and Sales Management.
Prepares all rate tables for internal staff and external ventors. Works with these customers (Stepwise, Hcentive, EHealth, HAMP billing, etc.) to provide data in the appropriate format for each customer.
