Job Description

Responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive care to patients of all ages through the proper utilization of evaluation, planning and implementation of a treatment plan in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. Serves as a role model in delivery of professional services and is a clinical resource for staff and students. Responsible for staff development and advancing the level of clinical expertise within the department.

Specifications: Knowledge, Training, Work Experiences:
Illinois Licensure as Speech and Language Pathologist or eligible for licensure required.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) through American Speech-Language-Hearing Association required.
May require Part C Early Intervention Certifications if supporting the early intervention program.
Preferred 2 years work experience in Speech Therapy.
AHA Healthcare Provider or Instructor BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
Understands the proper procedure for all speech therapy modalities, including age-specific, precautions and contra-indications.
Vital stim certification required within one year of hire date.
